Run Coach: Mario Fraioli
Mario Fraioli is a Bay Area-based running coach who guides athletes to first finish lines, personal bests, the Boston Marathon, national championship wins, Olympic Trials, international podiums, world championship teams, national records, and the Olympic Games. He publishes the morning shakeout email newsletter and podcast. He was also a senior editor at Competitor magazine from 2010-2016. In 2013, he authored The Official Rock ‘n’ Roll Guide To Marathon & Half-Marathon Training.
Mario was a cross-country All-American at Stonehill College in 2003 and raced competitively from the mile to ultramarathon distances. His personal bests include 4:09 for the mile, 2:28 in the marathon, and 7:49 for 50 miles. A native of Massachusetts, Mario lives north of the Golden Gate Bridge with his wife Christine and dog Tahoe, where he explores the trails of Mt. Tamalpais.
Organized Runs
We have club and volunteer-led training runs in scenic locations around the Bay Area. The routes incorporate everything from reviews of the courses of local races to challenging and fun trail adventures, with varying distances and levels of difficulty. Be on the look out for:
